Meet the Maker: Artisan Wine and Cheese Night
Wine and cheese are a timeless pair, enjoyed by millions of people all around the world. The depth of flavors in wine can be perfectly complemented by the tangy, creamy, and salty notes of cheese. In March, Sommly is collaborating with Antonelli’s Cheese Shop in Austin, Texas, for an exclusive event called “Meet the Makers: Artisan Wine and Cheese Night.” The event is set to feature three wines from two artisan wine producers in Texas, Adega Vinho, and Serrano Wine, which will be paired with thoughtfully selected cheeses from Antonelli’s Cheese Shop.
The local virtual event, set to take place on March 31st, is a celebration of the unique and flavorful creations of Texas craft winemakers and artisan cheesemakers. The attendees will get to meet the makers and learn about the process of producing wine and cheese, from the vineyards to the aging process, and why the selected wines and cheeses pair so perfectly. The evening promises to be a sensory journey into the world of wine and cheese, featuring some of the best local artisans in the business.

Not to sound cheesy, but the collaboration between Sommly and Antonelli’s Cheese is a perfect fit, as both businesses are dedicated to promoting local artisans and their craft. Additionally, they both share a passion for giving back. As such, a percentage from every booking will be donated to Project Schoolhouse, a local nonprofit dedicated to building schools and community water systems in rural Nicaragua.
